I dove into teaching right away, with focus on special populations and a more therapeutic practice, I wanted to help others build strength and mental ease through movement and breath work. You'll find my classes are based on a therapeutic and strength building practice through breath work, deep stretching and gentle movement, while focusing on optimal physical alignment and creating balance, leading up to a flow designed to strengthen and challenge as well as rejuvenate and relax the entire mind and body. I practice and teach a variety of styles including flow, vinyasa, Y12SR, Yoga for addiction and recovery, heated sculpt, yin/yang, restorative, therapeutic, and chair yoga- to all ages and all abilities.
About me
I initially started practicing yoga for anxiety relief, back pain relief, and a natural way to sleep better. Throughout the years, I realized how beneficial yoga has been in so many more ways than I was seeking, and wanted to share my practice and internal healing with others. I completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification in June 2021 through Be Well Community Yoga, and I am currently working on my 500 hr certification.
Since completing my initial certification I have expanded my practice, education and interests. I started learning new styles of yoga and meditation as well as other methods of healing including Sound Healing. The first time I played a gong, I was just having fun with it, but I quickly picked up on how the vibrational effect of a gong can change the energy of a room and the calming power one can release. I knew I had learn more and to try other instruments, so I did and have grown my experience with Crystal singing bowls, chimes, rainsticks etc. I found an amazing course to complete my Sound Healing Practitioner Certification so that I can understand more and offer this gift of releasing energy through sound healing to others.
